This is a bold carrot month for you. Your energy will be strong and ready for action. But, you will be a little top heavy, just like a carrot. Headaches could be a frequent complaint. If so, it signals a time for a change in routine. Physical workouts will help release the trapped head energy but, for this month only, keep the workouts moderate. With the mixture of planetary energies this month creating extra stress factors for you, commit to a schedule that requires physical activity within moderation and carrots in your menu. Your food focus should be carrots, so when dining out, check out carrot soufflés, steamed carrots, scalloped carrots and, best of all, carrot cake! Visit restaurants with great salad bars, sandwiches, and raw veggies. Other orange foods can help, like orange juice, fresh sliced oranges, and, of course, orange sherbet for dessert. Harsh energies mid-month could prompt an eye exam. It is a good time for one.

This is a grand month for you if you can see it. Your stubborn side could block you from seeing the beauty that life has to offer you. This does not mean your love of luxury or quality in clothing, furniture, or foods should be compromised. It simply means sometimes we have to dig a little deeper to find the sparkle of the diamond. Think about radishes – yes, radishes. Until they are pulled out of the ground and washed, the beauty of their color, especially in contrast to the brilliant white inside, will not be seen. The full moon on the 19th will oppose you, Taurus. Be prepared for secrets to be revealed. Tempers could flare. Count to 10 twice. Relationships sparkle, and romance heats up! Your color in May is red. Eating red foods will give the zip you need to accomplish the tasks at hand. Dinner at your favorite steak house with a great salad of radishes and red peppers abundant will work wonders. Oh my, Gemini, this could be a chaotic month. Your ruler, Mercury, does a backward dance late month creating confusion and miscommunications, especially in relationships. Enjoy the first two weeks, and then prepare to get extra rest to offset the stress that will last until mid-June. Ugh! You definitely want to eat out the latter part of the month. No need to add more stress to your life by preparing meals at home. Keep your wits about you by having lunch or dinner at familiar places and especially those where you do not have to study the menu. Your mind is just not in the mood for making decisions this month. “Keep it simple” is your May motto! Your color in food and clothing is white. Enjoy baked potatoes with sour cream, ice cream, breads, and white chocolate. Italian restaurants are the best choice to find perfect foods in May. Enjoy a salad with cauliflower, breadsticks, and yummy pasta with white sauce!

This is a nutty month for you. Nuts of all kinds will work, too! Check out trout almandine, nutty coconut ice cream, and pecan-crusted chicken. Or simply grab some mixed nuts out of the can or jar! No matter how you get your nuts this month, protein in the form of nuts is a good choice. Brunches are better than breakfast in May, as you are so busy with work projects that you are burning the midnight oil frequently. You are in a very auspicious period, however, so nothing will be said about your work ethic. There is a simple caution that things could get really crazy around the 22nd of the month, so prepare ahead, please. Nuts are usually a beige color with some being more of a brown and some even leaning toward green. Work these colors into your food and clothing choices this month. Fish and seafood is a must for dining out, so visit your local seafood restaurants often in May! minute of it!

Life can be challenging for sure, especially when one wants to play instead of work! You appear to be the life of many parties in May. That is because you exude that “blue blood” energy so well! Be careful toward the middle of the month, though, as the full moon in Scorpio will not be kind to Leos born late in August. Your stress factors will soar and you might even have to seek medical attention for back problems. Eating fresh fruits and veggies is a must. Visit a local farmers market or produce section of your grocery store. Eggplant is the A+ choice along with blackberries, blueberries, and purple plums. When dining out, select dishes that have eggplant and desserts that have the blue/black/purple fruits. These will help maintain a healthy body during this stressful month. A classy, top-notch hotel restaurant is the place for you to be in May. The music, the great servers, and the food will all meet your standards for first class.

This is an exciting month for you, Virgo. It will have a few bumps here and there because you are in a relatively low energy cycle. There is also the fact that your sign ruler, Mercury, will be dancing backwards beginning on the 26th. The few days before that date will be hard to handle. Have patience, please. Find ways to calm your nerves because you will need it. A glass of wine with dinner is an excellent start. Reducing the amount of yang foods – those with spices and high acid – will also help. Rich foods, believe it or not, might be more soothing than you think. Keep them in moderation, as weight gain is something you do worry about! French and Italian restaurants are ideal for dinners. Lunchtime finds you loving that burger with fries! Drink plenty of water and less carbonated drinks in May. A family member may need your help or require medical attention. Your supportive attitude means a lot.

You are feeling alive again after a very draining month last month. Money issues seem to dominate your thoughts and prompt unusual actions. Employment opportunities seem to fall from the sky like manna from heaven! If you are not looking for a change, you still might want to at least “look” at what is coming to you. Save the information for a rainy day! May is a fabulous time for you to have a quiet lunch at your favorite bistro or maybe a quaint little outdoor café. Desserts made on the premises are designed to weaken you, but, little do they know, those delicious delicacies only add to your strength! Residential questions keep popping up. Perhaps you are moving or investing in a new property. Do so before May 26th. Projects, documents, etc. signed between May 26th and June 20th may never measure up to your expectations and could possibly become a royal pain! At home, honey for biscuits or rolls is a MUST HAVE.

May is here and you are beginning an uplifting cycle. The problem is there is a new moon energy that really wants you to think twice about decisions you made last week. You have until the full moon in Scorpio on the 19th to make changes. After the 26th of May, new contracts or projects should be delayed until after June 20th. Eating out is the best thing for you in May because you have no time at home to really prepare anything. Do keep crackers and cheese and wines on hand for quick pick-me-ups or for drop-in guests. In fact, pick up a few fresh pastries and breads from the bakery for those early mornings when you are in a rush. Grilled chicken and anything with dill is a sure winner. There are a number of dips with dill, and fish entrees with a dill sauce that will tantalize your taste buds and give you a lift! Ice cream is for dessert.

You look like limp asparagus!! You have this yellow-green color surrounding you and you want someone to notice. Well, consider yourself noticed this month! There are many miles to cover and you should be ready to travel. Lock in your location; grab your bottled water and go. Stop along the way and treat yourself to local dishes. You enjoy other cultures, and this is one way to experience something like that. Fresh-brewed coffee is another treat for travelers. Seemingly you like yours “straight” without flavors. If travelling where it is warm, drive through for a frappaccino. This will cool down any hot-blooded Sagittarius, especially those born in late November. Asparagus and lamb seem to be in the dishes that stir your senses. If travelling by car, asparagus “sticks” with a great dip are perfect for keeping the appetite under control. For the more advanced palate, pheasant dishes with warm raspberry or orange sauces appeal to you.

The planet that rules Capricorn, Saturn, is now gaining its strength and returning to the dance floor. You have felt as though your hands were tied behind your back. Now you are free. This is a month for action. A new moon in a fellow earth sign will support your projects and decisions. Give this month your all. You will reap the benefits quickly if you do. Meat is a must have in May. Pork or lamb chops, steaks, beef ribs, pork ribs, all have your name. There could be a big cookout, and these are just a few of the offerings, but I feel many will be dishes you cook at home as well as some you order while dining out. You really like fully flavored meats, too, like those that have been marinated or seasoned really well. You seem to be attacking projects with just as much gusto in May. With your ruler in top form, go right ahead. Make things happen.

You are in for the ride of your life. Sit down, hold on and yes, be quiet. It is time for you to listen, not talk. Listen to the wind, the birds, the animals. Listen to the sounds around you. They all contain messages – little bits and pieces – for you. You are rounding a corner in your life and the future could not be brighter. May does hold a few powerful energies that will challenge you. A new moon in Taurus on the 5th and a full moon in Scorpio on the 19th both form harsh angles to Aquarius. However, these energies are only pushing you to demonstrate your abilities and intelligence. Wear blue – all shades – for a calming effect throughout the month. Also, eat well-balanced meals to keep your energy flowing smoothly. You have so much socializing to do – personal and business – that dining out is an absolute must this month. Keep dairy products to a minimum, however, to avoid stomach upsets in May.

Your creative energies are extraordinary. Pulling the rabbit out of the hat is an everyday occurrence in May. The new and full moons are kind to you so you have a few things on your side when the month opens. You appear to be helping out at a charity function or school project. Whatever you are doing, your creative talents are being displayed in a “sweet” manner! In fact, if I didn’t know better I would think you are opening your own restaurant! In the meantime, check out the new dishes at your favorite Asian restaurants. “Coconut anything” seems like a winner. A cool cucumber soup is a nice way to end your busy days. Prepare your own or take some home from your favorite restaurant. Be sure to also include that delicious “melt-in-your-mouth” bread. Now you can prop your tired feet up and enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet before the next month begins all over again.
